ALL Seniors:
- Soroptimist of Humboldt Bay & Eureka Clubs announces the Distinguished Youth Scholarships of $1000! This award is based on community service in the home, school & community, as well as leadership and citizenship. Applications are available in the office or online and must be mailed (postmarked) by Feb. 1st.
- Big News! The Humboldt Area Foundation Scholarships are now available at hafoundation.org. You fill out just one common application for the dozens of scholarships available, including vocational/technical trade school listings. Complete your application online NOW from the HAF website, then mail or hand deliver by March 15th. No late applications accepted.

- The Coast Central Credit Union Scholarship is intended for graduating seniors who will attend CR or HSU, Shasta Community College or Chico State University in the fall. This is a renewable award that is worth $4000 over four years. Click here to get information and an application. Deadline is March 18, 2011.
For Juniors Only: - H.D. "Timm" Williams Memorial Indian Scholarship applications are now available for American Indian students who will graduate from a Humboldt or Del Norte County high school or charter school in 2011. This scholarship is intended to provide financial help to American Indian students pursuing careers in the health or health-related fields. Go to the United Indian Health Services (UIHS) website at www.uihs.com/scholarship.html to get an application.
- Be a senior graduating from a Humboldt or Del Norte County high school or charter school in 2011
- Plan to attend a two- or four-year college or university in academic year 2011-2012
- Have an overall GPA of 2.0 or better.
- The 43rd Annual Rhododendron Festival Committee is now accepting applications from local high school juniors for the Youth Ambassador Scholarship Program. Students selected by the committee will represent Zoe Barnum High School in several festival events taking place starting Feb. 2nd, and compete for scholarships. Deadline to submit an application is Jan. 21th. The Youth Ambassador Program is designed to inspire commitment to community service, introduce students to local business community, and provide a fun-filled, skill building competition for scholarships to college-bound students.
